SkyHigh Sound Systems @2010 By Adam Murphy "Bombardier/Canadair CRJ-series General Electric CF34 Soundpack for FS2004 and FSX" This sound is intended for use on the Project Opensky CRJ models but will also work, I am pretty sure, with the Wilco/Feelthere CRJ-series and other payware models, even though I haven't tested such models. Also, this sound is made specifically for CRJ-100/200s with the CF34-3B as that's where most the recordings came from. They will represent CF34-8Cs which power the CRJ-700 and up just fine, and also the Embraer E170/175 good enough as well, however there are some notable minor differences between the CF34-3B and CF34-8C. The idle sound of the -8C is slightly different from the -3B, the engines are a bit quieter with the -8C, the cabin apu sound is a little bit different between the two sounds, and most notably the flaps sounds are different between the two. I don't plan on releasing an -8C soundpack for CRJs because the two engines sound so similar and this file is 90mb! After month's of hard precision work, I present to you my new realistic and accurate CRJ-Series CF34 soundpack for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I made this soundpack as accurate as possible using real and digital recordings and my ability of perfect pitch (to be able to determine frequency or pitch of sounds). These sounds are from a passenger perspective as if you are sitting in the back of the cabin. Once you load your aircraft with these sounds, you'll hear the APU System and Fans in the cabin. You start the engines and then you hear the humming sound of the CF34s at idle. You spool up the engines at takeoff then hear the famous buzzsaw-like sounds of the CF34 engine's fans. When you are rolling on the ground you can hear the whining sound the wheels going faster like you hear on a real CRJ and other similar aircraft. Once you lift off and put up the landing gear you will hear a chime from the cabin. (Just a little realistic enthusiastic touch to add to the sounds, as in real videos you hear this sound every time after takeoff in the planes.) It features other realistic sounds like the autopilot deactivation sound, stall buzzer, overspeed beeper, gear up warning sound buzzer, flaps, rolling, and touch-down. I am sure that if you are a frequent CRJ Reginal Jet Flyer, or if you're a pilot or flight crew onboard a CRJ aircraft that you'll pretty impressed by these sounds. But if you don't like these sounds, just simply delete the file and try another soundpack. But try this one first, it's worth it. I doubt anyone will be deleting these sounds after hearing them though... ;) I have a video on youtube featuring a preview of these sounds under the account: adambot3000.
